Key Strengths: Strategic, Command, Restorative, Achiever, Competition
Dan Bakker is motivated to help animal agriculture producers maximize the efficiency of their animals, facilities, and employees. This is done by helping farms motivate and engage employees in creating a culture of continuous improvement, which results in a more profitable, sustainable business. Dan began his experience in agriculture working on his family’s farrowing operation. He then pursued various opportunities in agriculture, including feedlot, dairy, and facility construction. He spent 11 years as operations manager on a dairy farm as it grew from 500 to 1,200 cows. During this time Dan also desired to become a better leader. He became certified through the “People First” Supervisory Certificate Program and “Lift Leadership Training”. In 2016, he transitioned off farm as a Dairy Production Specialist for a private veterinary practice. In 2018, Dan left this veterinary practice for opportunity to be a consultant/coach at Foundation Livestock Service. Dan’s practical experience and passion to help farms maximize their potential drives him as he helps farms reach their goals. Dan enjoys being with his family, the outdoors and working on his own small acreage.
Salvador R Ruiz Reyna is very enthusiastic for people and their journey to become their best selves. He understands that creating a successful culture in every business is key to improve engagement and performance. Salvador was born and raised in Mexico. During the summers he worked with his uncle on a farm and helped his parents in their private practice as doctors. There he learned the value of helping people in all different walks of life. Later he developed a passion to work with cattle by pursuing a degree at Monterrey Institute of Technology. In 2005 he earned his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering with concentration in Animal Science. Since 2006 Salvador has worked in the US, holding positions in different levels of management and as a consultant within the dairy and beef industry. Salvador has helped operations to allocate and find workers with visas, also playing a role recruiting people in Mexico for other industries. In October on 2021 Salvador started a new opportunity with Foundation Livestock Service to bring his experience and knowledge to the strong team that Dr. Sara Barber and Dan Bakker have created. Salvador loves spending time with his wife Ana and daughter Pru. Baking, grilling, and cooking are some of their favorite activities.
