Dr. Sara Barber loves people and agriculture. When she was in veterinary school, one of her professors asked her why she wanted to be a
veterinarian. Her reply was, “I want to help people.” Her first job after graduating from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary
Medicine in 2000 was at the Veterinary Medical Center in Worthington, MN. She spent 18 years there with an emphasis on dairy and
calves. In 2018, Dr. Barber and Dan Bakker founded Foundation Livestock Service. Everything in that business revolves around their
mission to develop people and processes with true measures of success.
The drive to better serve people led Dr. Barber to explore coaching. She has found that when people understand their strengths and a
team sees each other from a strengths perspective, a powerful community develops. She is an Associate Certified Coach with the
International Coaching Federation and a WeAlign Executive Coach.
Foundation Livestock Service manages Osceola Calf Service, which custom raises 1,100 wet calves and 2,000 young heifers. They also
manage a robot dairy in Nebraska. Dr. Barber coaches multiple ag related businesses in strengths-based team building and leadership
development.
Dr. Barber enjoys life with her husband, Bruce, and three children. They encourage each other at many sporting events and 4-H activities.
She loves Jesus, their goat herd, early morning country runs, and conversations with friends.
